The College of Physical Education and Physical Sciences at the University of Maysan held a workshop on the use of VAR technology, moderated by the international referee, Assistant Professor Wathiq Muhammad Abdullah.
The Director of Media at the University of Maysan, Laith Sabbar Al-Kaabi, told the (INA): “The workshop included clarifying some of the main points and duties that the player, spectator, and referees should know about this technology, when to use it, and what benefits it provided, which organized the course of the matches for some cases that may occur.” The main referee cannot watch it until he refers to that technique.”
He added, “The workshop witnessed a distinguished presence of our college’s professors and students, football practitioners and referees, and some media professionals in the governorate. The goal of that workshop was real knowledge of the use of the VAR technology on the one hand, and on the other hand, gaining the arbitration culture that would reduce the frequency of quarrels.” And the tension that occurs in some cases.”
