This evening, Sunday, four matches will be held for the 11th round of the Iraqi Stars League for professional football, most notably the Falcons and Al-Aniq Summit.
As the Air Force and Student teams cut the ribbon for the opening of the Al-Shaab International Stadium in its new look, the Falcons are looking forward to achieving victory in order to regain the lead from Al-Shorta, relying on the great moral incentive following their series of positive results, the most recent of which was beating Dohuk with a goal to nothing. In turn, Al-Aneeq aspires to restore the tone of victories. After three matches, it emerged with two draws against Naft Al-Wasat and Karbala, while it lost against Al-Minaa, and therefore it is looking for a positive result that will raise it to a better position in the competition table.
In a second match, Al-Karkh hopes to correct the course when it hosts its challenger, Zakho, at Al-Kout Stadium. The Canaries lost in their last test against Al-Hedoud, while the sons of Al-Khabour were content with one point against Al-Naft.
For its part, Al-Naft is heading to Sulaymaniyah Stadium to meet Newroz in an effort to break the barrier of misfortune that accompanied it during the previous three rounds. On the other hand, the northern team is relying on the ground staff and the public in order to achieve a good result that qualifies it to reach the golden square. The Najaf and Al-Qasim teams will also meet at the Najaf Olympic Stadium in a match whose slogan is compensation.
