Police seeking to identify offender after man stabbed to death north of Alice Springs

Northern Territory police are investigating the death of a 35-year-old man following a stabbing in the remote Aboriginal community of Laramba on Friday morning.

Laramba Stabbing Investigation

The man suffered serious chest injuries after being stabbed at a residence in the community, located approximately 200 kilometres north-west of Alice Springs, around 4:40am.

He was transported to the local clinic but was pronounced deceased shortly after arrival.

Police from Ti Tree, Yuendumu and Alice Springs are at the scene and have established a crime scene.

Authorities are currently working to identify the offender and determine the circumstances surrounding the man’s death. Laramba has a population of around 220 people.
