We look forward to establishing partnerships between the Iraqi and international private sectors during the Baghdad Exhibition »

The Ministry of Commerce confirmed today, Sunday, that the 47th session of the Baghdad International Fair will differ from its predecessors, and while it expressed its aspiration to establish real partnerships between the Iraqi and international private sectors, it pointed out the advantages of the upcoming session.

The Director General of the Ministry’s Private Sector Department, Muhammad Hanoun, told the (INA): “The Baghdad International Fair, in its 47th edition, will open for the period from 10 to 19 of this month of January,” stressing that “this session will differ from its predecessors.” In terms of the participation of a large number of Iraqi private sector companies, it represents the alliance of the Federation of Chambers of Commerce Industries, unions and other organizations.

Hanoun added, “The private sector bears a great responsibility in the process of services, construction, and reconstruction approved by the government within the government program. Therefore, we look forward to establishing real partnerships in the Ministry of Commerce between the Iraqi private sector and the international private sector, to contribute effectively to the reconstruction process.”

He explained, “The Baghdad International Fair is an important economic window, through which Iraq overlooks the world, as well as introducing international companies to Iraq,” adding, “We look forward to the Baghdad International Fair in this edition being different from its predecessors, in terms of the desired benefit.” And the number of countries and companies participating.”

He pointed out, “The number of local companies participating in the 47th Baghdad International Fair exceeded 600 companies, in addition to the participation of 140 Saudi companies, in addition to the participation of a number of countries.”

He continued, “The exhibition pavilions will differ significantly from previous years, in terms of design and décor, in addition to the difference in materials present within the exhibition pavilions.”

The Ministry of Commerce announced, last Thursday, that the 47th edition of the Baghdad International Fair will include the participation of 20 countries and more than 800 international companies, while indicating that the exhibition halls are sold out.
