In a more severe measure, the prefects of the departments issued formal notice orders for 13 industrial sites to comply with the regulatory provisions within three months. This is justified according to the prefecture by “the proven risk of pollution in the event of a spill, in particular due to the absence of retention devices”. The list of 13 establishments has not been communicated by the State services. In most cases, the problem is mainly environmental and the non-compliances relate to requirements aimed at preventing pollution by dangerous products spilled accidentally.
