Three months to get up to speed In a press release, the prefecture published the results of this control campaign on Wednesday. Non-conformities related to one of the points mentioned above were noted at 216 establishments, ie 73% of all the sites that were inspected. In a more severe measure, the prefects of the departments issued formal notice orders for 13 industrial sites to comply with the regulatory provisions within three months. This is justified according to the prefecture by “the proven risk of pollution in the event of a spill, in particular due to the absence of retention devices”. The list of 13 establishments has not been communicated by the State services. In most cases, the problem is mainly environmental and the non-compliances relate to requirements aimed at preventing pollution by dangerous products spilled accidentally. If it is sometimes a question of a simple bad distribution of the containers of chemical products, it is also in other cases a question of a total absence of retention system for certain storages. Despite everything, two thirds of the establishments inspected are compliant with regard to the tightness of the entire system and three quarters of the operators respect the rules for labeling and management of incompatibilities.
