Cologne | Traffic on most of the motorways in North Rhine-Westphalia has returned to normal after the storms. Only the severe damage in the west of Cologne remains and the motorway sections there are still fully closed.

The A1 is completely closed in both directions between the Hürth junction and the Erfttal motorway triangle. However, it is still not possible to drive up and down at the Gleuel junction. In addition, there is only one lane available to road users on the A1 in the direction of Dortmund between the Cologne-Lövenich and Cologne-Bocklemünd junctions.

The A61 is completely blocked between the Kerpen motorway junction and the Rheinbach junction in the direction of Koblenz. In the direction of Venlo, the A61 between the Meckenheim junction and the Swisttal-Heimerzheim junction and between the Bliesheim junction and the Türnich junction is completely blocked.
