Every now and then we come across some episodes starring some reckless drivers that remind us of incompatibility of driving after drinking alcohol. The most recent example comes from the United States, with a Mitsubishi Lancer as the main protagonist and the Japanese model has ended up taking a good dip in a swimming pool belonging to private property.
There were no injuries
Everything indicates that the incident originated due to intoxicated state of the driver, who crashed his Lancer into a nice pool in Arlington, Texas, just a few days ago. The Arlington Police Department reported through its Twitter profile that the incident occurred at 3500 South Center Street and the images that accompany the publication give us a look at the damage caused both in the surroundings and in the car, although the latter is not very visible due to its location at the bottom of the pool.
It looks like the Mitsubishi crossed a low stone wall and a wooden fence as he pulled off the road and into the backyard of the property. The red Lancer can be seen in the middle of the pool completely submerged in water. Fortunately, no one was injured and things could have been much worse if someone had been in or near the pool at the time.

Alcohol, the great culprit
Faced with such events, the police arrested the driver for driving while intoxicated. It is not clear what will happen to this person given the damage caused and the stir caused, but if he is found guilty, a serious fine and the suspension of the license driving should be in the pools.
It should be remembered that this is not the first time that we come across an incident in which a car ends up taking a bath in a pool since last year we saw how the driver of a Dodge Nitro made the wrong pedal and ended up surrounded by water. On the other hand, in 2017, a Ford F-150 Raptor was involved in the same situation, although this time the driver lost control of the vehicle, went through a wooden fence and only the pool could slow its progress.
