"Two tramway trains collided with passengers on board. The first row, stationary, was struck in the rear by the train that followed it which made it out of the way. For now, #RATP is not able to explain the reasons for this accident, "says the board.
A crisis cell was opened and traffic on the T2 line was "fully interrupted" in the evening, according to the RATP. Substitute buses have been put in place and will remain on Tuesday between Parc de Saint-Cloud and Porte de Versailles. On the other hand, traffic will be normal between Pont de Bezons and Parc de Saint-Cloud, according to the same source.
Catherine Guillouard, CEO of RATP, went on site in the evening. A crisis unit and a victim support unit were "activated to accompany injured travelers and their families," she said in a statement. At the same time, "an internal investigation was immediately launched to shed light on the causes of this accident," RATP said.
