Brazil striker: Neymar thinks Klopp is ‘one of the best coaches in the world’

After Champions League and Liga titles, Neymar is yet to win the World Cup. He wants to change that. The winger is enthusiastic about Liverpool coach Jürgen Klopp.

Superstar Neymar hopes to win Football World Cup in Qatar.

“It’s what we’re striving for, and I believe that we have what it takes to fight for the title,” said the 30-year-old Brazilian on MagentaTV’s “Best Filling” show, which will be broadcast from Friday. “I don’t know but I’ll play like it’s my last game.”

At the 2026 World Cup in Canada, Mexico and the USA the winger would be 34 years old. “Ever since I was little, I’ve always said that I have to give everything in every game as if it were the last thing on my life,” said Neymar.

The Paris Saint-Germain striker has great admiration for Jürgen Klopp. The German coach, who has been on the sidelines at Liverpool FC since 2015, won the Champions League and the English championship with the “Reds”. Klopp has twice been voted World Club Coach of the Year. “He’s one of the greatest in my opinion,” said Neymar. “Everyone has something that can be improved, that can be developed. I’m sure coaches like Klopp can bring the best out of every player.”

The Brazilians Roberto Firmino, Fabinho, Alisson and the Spanish-Brazilian midfield strategist Thiago Alcántara play at Liverpool FC. “I asked the Brazilian players about him, they talk very well about the manager,” said Neymar. “I consider him one of the best coaches in the world.”
