Changed Again, Aircraft Passengers Can Use Antigen Test Results – FAJAR

FAJAR.CO.ID, JAKARTA – After setting the latest price and changing the validity period of the polymerase chain reaction (PCR) test, the government has again changed the rules for using air transportation.

Airplane passengers outside Java-Bali are allowed to use the results of the antigen test as a condition of travel.

This is stated in the Instruction of the Minister of Home Affairs (Inmendagri) Number 56 of 2021.

Spokesman for the Covid-19 Task Force (Satgas) Wiku Adisasmito explained that this policy was in the context of adjusting the readiness of specific facilities and infrastructure in each region.

So that passengers traveling long distances using inter-district or inter-city air transportation modes outside the island of Java and Bali, can use the negative results of the rapid antigen test whose samples are taken within a maximum period of 1 x 24 hours before departure.

“This condition is an alternative to air travel requirements for areas outside Java-Bali in addition to showing the results of the RT PCR test whose samples were taken within a maximum period of 3X24 hours before departure,” explained Wiku in a press conference viewed from the Presidential Secretariat YouTube, Thursday (28/10/ 2021).
