Children’s and Youth Day in Wunstorf makes the city center colorful and lively

Great start to the 16th children and youth day: the sun shone from the sky. The faces of the many helpers were just as happy. Many parents came with their children. As the sky darkened, the pedestrian zone emptied. On Sunday, the shops were open from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Wunstorf. The patron of the 16th Children and Youth Day, Mayor Carsten Piellusch (SPD), is satisfied: “The sun is shining, everything is perfect,” he said on Saturday at the opening in front of the town church. According to the motto, the city presented itself colorful, lively and diverse. Piellusch had the rainbow flag hoisted especially for this.

He thanked the organizational teams who set up the stands early on: “20 stations where you can all have fun. Heaven is smiling.” The deputy youth mayor Paula Plümer pointed out a special offer. In front of the abbey, Ukrainian women had set up a long buffet of cakes. The proceeds go to her home country as a donation.
