DOKOM21 supports open-air cinema Filmnächte Dortmund on Phoenix-West

“We are very pleased to once again support the Dortmund Film Nights at Phoenix-West as a sponsor. As a regional telecommunications service provider, we want our partnership to help people in Dortmund to enjoy entertaining cinema films in a relaxed open-air atmosphere in summer,” says Helen Waltener, DOKOM21 marketing employee.

The Dortmund Film Nights are showing cinema films on the big screen and in the open air until August 28, 2022 in front of the impressive blast furnace backdrop on Phoenix-West, Heinz-Nixdorf-Straße. “With DOKOM21 as a partner, the largest open-air cinema festival will take place again this summer in Dortmund,” says Felix Japes, cinema manager from the agency Neovaude, which organizes the Film Nights Dortmund. “The films are played on a huge cinema screen, which is around 200 square meters. On the construction site at the old Hoesch blast furnace, we ensure the best possible view everywhere.”

Current blockbusters, family films and classics
The scenery right at the foot of the former blast furnace is spectacular. Comfortable deckchairs and director’s chairs are available for visitors to enjoy current blockbusters, family films and classics with popcorn, ice cream and other snacks with cool drinks. The Dortmund Film Nights offer a varied film program until August 28th, which includes box office hits and evergreens as well as film premieres and interesting documentaries.

Tickets available online or at the box office
In addition to the Ruhrpott evergreen “Bang Boom Bang”, the superhero film “The Batman” and the classic teen film “Dirty Dancing” will also be shown. Tickets can be purchased online at dortmund.filmnaechte.de (10 euros) or at the box office (13 euros). Admission to the open-air cinema is from 8:00 p.m. The film starts at around 9:30 p.m. after sunset.
