ESC icon Nicole probably has Corona. The first rapid test was positive. An “irreplaceable band member” had previously fallen ill – and was showing “heavy” symptoms.

ESC icon Nicole, 57, has probably been infected with the corona virus. Before that, a band member was already ill. The pop singer announced this on Wednesday on her Instagram account. “Yesterday evening I received the news that a band member who was irreplaceable for the concerts was seriously ill with Corona,” she begins her post. “After I woke up with symptoms this morning as well, I had a quick test done. The result was positive,” Nicole continued. You will receive the result of the PCR test on Thursday.

Nicole may not only have to postpone her concerts

In any case, the concerts scheduled for Friday and Saturday have been postponed. “The new dates will be communicated by the organizer as soon as possible,” she turns to her followers.

But the cancellation does not only affect the concerts, because the Saarbrücken-born artist continues: “If my PCR test is positive, I can do it on Sunday [15. Mai, Anmerkung der Redaktion] will not appear in the ‘Fernsehgarten’, which makes me infinitely sad, because I was particularly looking forward to this performance,” says Nicole about the popular ZDF program, which this time is scheduled for the day after the ESC final (May 14) in Turin “I’ll keep you posted…” the singer closes her post.

Nicole’s career is closely linked to the European music competition. At the age of only 17, she won the Eurovision Song Contest 1982 (then called the Grand Prix) as the interpreter of the song “Ein bißchen Frieden” and thus achieved the first victory for Germany in this competition.
