FC Basel honored the new record player Fabian Frei during the home game against the Grasshoppers (1-1) on Thursday evening and made a far-reaching decision in the process.
As the Bebbi announce, the shirt number 20, which Frei has been wearing for years, will never be given out again. The jersey has been retired. “You’re our number 20 forever,” it says. The 33-year-old has replaced Massimo Ceccaroni as FCB’s record player.
