Luke Walton sued for sexual assault

19:15 PT – The Sacramento Kings tell TMZ Sports: "We know the report and are collecting additional information, so far we have no further information." Head Coach of Sacramento Kings LUke Walton is being sued for sexual assault on a woman who claims to have forced himself into his hotel room … according to a new lawsuit.

In legal documents received from TMZ Sports, Kelli Tennant Claims – While Walton was an assistant coach to the Golden State Warriors, he asked her to meet him at his Santa Monica hotel for a book she had published. Walton worked for the Warriors until April 2016, when he took over the head coach of the Lakers. She says they had a business relationship dating back several years, so she asked him to write a foreword to her book.

In the lawsuit, Tennant says when she arrived at Walton's hotel, he convinced her to come to his room so that they could "catch up". She claims that when they came to his room, Walton suddenly pushed her to the bed and put his hips and legs over her body.

In the document, Tennant claims Walton forced kisses on the neck, face and chest. She says she screamed, he should stop and try to break free, but he held her tight, groping her breasts and groin, rubbing his erection against her leg.

She says he eventually gave in and let her get up from the bed, but when she went to the door to leave, he grabbed her from behind and squeezed his body against hers.

Tennant claims that when Walton finally released his grip, she opened the door and left, but he could hear him saying, "Nice to see you."

Tennant claims that she initially did not report Walton's behavior, but was constantly in contact with him because of her job. She says that every time she sees him, Walton would impose himself with a big hug or a kiss, though she believed that she made it clear that his progress was not desirable.

In the lawsuit, Tennant claims in May 2017 – while Walton was the head coach of the Lakers -, Walton greeted her with "vulgar, guttural sounds" and said, "mmmm … you're bringing me around this dress." She says he then hugged her aggressively and rubbed his body against her.

On the basis of the documents it is unclear why Tennant finally came to their reproaches.

Luke recently left his position as head coach of the Los Angeles Lakers and now trains the Sacramento Kings.

We brought Luke and his wife to Los Angeles over the weekend, but he did not want to talk to our man … and it's unclear if he knew about the lawsuit.

We contacted Walton's representatives to say something … so far not a word back.
