Lev Parnas told Rachel Maddow from MSNBC on Wednesday that he is "100 percent" certain Vice President, Mike Pence, canceled his trip until Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky sent last spring because Ukraine refused to announce that he was investigating former Vice President Joe Biden and his son, Hunter Biden.
Parnas, associate of Rudy Giuliani, was shown last year on campaign finance violations. Giuliani traveled extensively to Ukraine to get harmful information on Biden, the 2020 democratic presidential candidate, and his son, who was on the board of the Ukrainian gas company Burisma.
Parnas said to Maddow that Giuliani led him to deliver a "very hard message" to Sergey Schafer, a senior aide Zelensky. He was advised to clarify that the United States would withhold all assistance to Ukraine if some claims were not met. "A, the most important thing was the announcement of the Biden investigation," Parnas said. The day after Parnas met with Schafer, Pence canceled his scheduled trip to Ukraine.
Parnas said that he knows that "100 percent" is there that the visit was called back against Ukraine without the claims made by the country investigating the Bidens. "A series of events, which was vital for where we are today," he said. "After that, look at what happens. Then within the next few days, they realize that they've got a word now. Of course, when Pence cancels, they get a word. A penny could not be" known " under the pressure campaign, Parnas argues, "everyone was in the loop."
