Most Russians who voted in New York for constitutional amendments opposed. This was announced by the press secretary of the Consulate General of Russia in the city of Alexei Topolsky, Interfax reports.

“At the Consulate General in New York, 816 people voted on constitutional amendments. 310 people supported, 505 opposed, ”said Topolsky. He added that the vote in New York took place without incident.

At the same time, the embassy in Washington told the agency that 395 people spoke out for amendments to the Constitution, and 275 voted against it.

By the morning of July 2, the CEC had processed 99.9% of the protocols by voting on amendments. The turnout was 65%. Amendments to the Basic Law were supported by 77.92% of voters. Against 21.26% of the voters.

Voting on amendments to the Constitution took place from June 25 to July 1.
