Footballer Tomáš Pekhart won the Polish title with the Warsaw Legion. The Czech forward scored the opening goal of the match of the 5th round of the league superstructure, in which the Legia defeated Cracow Krakow 2-0 at home and is sure of the first place. Pekhart hit for the first time since June 7 and for the fifth time in a year after the winter arrival from the Spanish second league Las Palmas.
In the match, which was interrupted for a few minutes after the halftime due to fan riots, Pekhart had another chance to score just before the end. However, his opponent blocked the shot in front of the goal line.
The Warsaw team is sure of the title, which the team from the capital won after a one-year break, two laps before the end of the superstructure. The Legia won the league for the fourteenth time, which compared to the most successful Polish teams Ruchu Chorzów and Górnik Zabrze.
