Billigheim-Ingenheim (ots)

On Friday, March 17, 2023, at around 11:30 p.m., the 39-year-old Audi driver was driving on the B38 coming from Landau in the direction of Billigheim-Ingenheim. The driver lost control of his vehicle in a left-hand bend and left the roadway to the right, where the car overturned. The Audi driver was injured in the accident but was not life-threatening. He was taken to a nearby hospital by ambulance. The car was no longer drivable and a total loss of 30,000 euros was incurred. Since the Audi driver smelled alcohol, a blood sample was taken in the hospital. His driver’s license was confiscated. The Audi driver will now have to answer in criminal proceedings for endangering road traffic. The B38 had to be closed for the duration of the accident recording. There were no traffic disruptions.
