The President of the Republic, Iván Duque, announced this Monday on his official Twitter account that the National Vaccination Plan in the country reached more than 54 million doses applied and is close to the figure of 24 million complete schedules.

In this way, the country advances in the immunization plan that the national government has carried out in order to advance towards a “Safe reactivation” of the country’s economy.

Since last February 17 when the immunization process began in the country, Bogotá has the highest number of doses applied with more than 7 million 600 thousand, followed by Medellín with 2.25 million and in third place is Cali, with more than one million 750 thousand immunologicals applied.

The Ministry of Health and Social Protection also announced that 3,461,156 digital certificates of vaccination against covid-19 have been generated with a cut-off at 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 21.

“We have been carrying out intersectoral work, with the objective that the IPS carry out the upload of information and, when said information is in our databases, the certificate can be generated”, commented the head of the Planning and Sector Studies Office of the Ministry of Health, Constanza María Engativá Rodríguez, about the process.

The official commented that if the certificate does not appear when making the query, she must approach the IPS where the vaccine was applied and request the upload of information, in order to have her digital document, which will give her more access to different commercial establishments that they are going to require it.
