He added that one of the advantages of the establishment of the National Elections Commission is that its decisions are subject to appeal before the judiciary. This is contrary to the nature of the powers of the Presidential Election Commission, which used to supervise the presidential elections. The judicial authorities, pointing out that the law allowed the appeal of the decisions of the National Authority for all concerned at specific times before the judiciary of the State Council, which represents an additional guarantee for the integrity of the electoral process in all its aspects and procedures.
Lashin Ibrahim pointed out that one of the most important guarantees of the safety of the electoral process in all its procedures and details and until the announcement of its result is that the Board of Directors of the National Electoral Commission with a purely judicial formation, stressing that the Commission has established rules and regulations under which presidential elections will be held in accordance with the foundations and rules Which are internationally recognized in democratic societies.
He explained that the National Electoral Commission is fully and genuinely independent under the Constitution and the law. Its Board of Directors consists of 10 judges, who have no authority over anyone other than their consciences, and that this independence in the work of the Commission also extends to all the technical, financial and administrative aspects related to its work. The exclusive judicial formation of the Board of Directors of the Commission is a situation for the establishment of the right and the realization of justice and fairness, especially since the judges of Egypt over the history of Egypt, the confidence of the masses of citizens because of their impartiality and abstraction.
