Red Bull Munich in the quarter-finals of the Champions League

Munich. EHC Red Bull Munich has made it to the quarter-finals of the Champions Hockey League.

The three-time German ice hockey champions made it through 3: 2 (0: 0, 0: 0, 3: 2) against HC Friborg-Gottéron from Switzerland. Coach Don Jackson’s team had already won the first leg 4-2. Munich are the last German representative in the competition after the Adler Mannheim failed on Tuesday at Frölunda HC from Sweden.

After a double hit by the guests at the beginning of the last third by Christopher Di Domenico (42nd) and Samuel Walser (43rd) within 62 seconds, Munich had to briefly fear for the quarter-finals. But Trevor Parkes (44th), Zachary Redmond (53rd) and Philip Gogulla (60th) ultimately ensured victory.
