Skoda: Nürburgring record for Kodiaq RS

(Update the 14/06/2018 at 16h26) After the Octavia RS , Skoda is preparing to welcome a new sporting version in its range, this time based on the Kodiaq . Marketed since last year, the SUV peaked until then at 190 horses , and this time will win an RS version, which has just broken the record of Seven fastest SUV on the Nürburgring , led by pilot Sabine Schmitz. The Czech has indeed managed to travel 20,83 km from Green Hell in just 9.29 seconds , almost three seconds longer than the McLaren P1 LM, who broke the absolute record, in 6.43 minutes. This announcement comes confirm the rumors of a less wise variant of Kodiaq. It will however still wait before discovering the SUV in its entirety, since it still retains a thick camouflage, still showing very little. This declination, however, seems to retain the general lines of the serial version, but should undoubtedly be endowed with a aerodynamic kit reworked , as well as some more sporting details, like the red rims presented in picture. A power of 240 horses? Obviously, Skoda has not yet revealed anything more about this hypothetical Kodiaq RS, and especially not what is hidden under its hood. The sounds of corridors evoke however for their only one possibility: a four-cylinder 2.0-liter twin-turbo diesel developing a total of 240 horses . A block that can be found elsewhere on other models in the range, including the Tiguan or the Golf . Performance figures are still a mystery. If no date of presentation has yet been given for this Kodiaq RS, the rumors evoke a first appearance in the summer current . He should then take his first steps in front of the general public on the occasion of the next World of Paris , which will take place from 4 to 14 October. Rates could then be announced in the process.
