Socialist International: K. Lachgar promoted to Vice-Presidency

K. Lachgar declared herself “proud” of his election to the SI vice-presidency representing the African zone, specifying that this result is “the fruit of the efforts made by the USFP in the various preparatory meetings for this conclave, the last of which was held recently in Dakar”. “This election allows the USFP to defend the supreme interests of Morocco and all African countries within the SI”she added in a statement to the MAP.

A USFP delegation, led by its first secretary, Driss Lachgar, is taking part in the work of the 26th congress of the Socialist International, which opened on Friday. It is also composed of Fatiha Seddas, Aicha El Gorgi, Machij El karkari, Ahmed Mehdi Mezouari and Mohamed Ghoudane.

During this conclave, several issues of international current affairs were addressed by the delegates, including conflict resolution, energy policy, climate change and employment.
