Tampa Bay also wins second home game

The Tampa Bay Lightning maintain their chances of a third straight Stanley Cup triumph. In Game 4 against Rangers they won 4-1 at home. This means that both teams won their first two home games in the best-of-7 series. It continues on Friday night at Madison Square Garden in New York.

Tampa Bay took the lead in the 3rd minute through Pat Maroon and then didn’t give up the lead. In the middle period, Nikita Kutscherow made it 2-0, after five minutes of the final section Steven Stamkos made it 3-0.

The Rangers have been waiting for a Stanley Cup triumph for 28 years. Their home strength gives them hope. They have had six straight wins in their home arena since losing to Pittsburgh at the start of the playoffs. They also won all three home games in the quarterfinals against Nino Niederreiter’s Carolina Hurricanes.

The Colorado Avalanche, the best team from the west, have already been confirmed as finalists.
