Books – Mohammed Alaa Eddin:
An official at the Egyptian Telecommunications Company, Lamasrawi, said the company had decided to cancel the grace period for paying the land bills and stop the service if the customer did not pay the bill on time.
The source added, preferring not to be named, that "in the past were given customers a week grace period to pay the bill, and accumulate more than an invoice to customers and therefore was canceled this system."
He said that "the service will be stopped if the customer does not pay the bill, provided that a fine is added to the value of the invoice due in case of non-payment within 48 hours of the suspension of service."
He added that "the contract with the customer will not be canceled due to late payment of the bill, but will stop the service only."
The source pointed out that the cancellation of the contract will be in case of breach of the customer condition of the terms of the contract, such as the use of the home phone for commercial purposes, because of the difference in tariffs for home packages for commercial.
