ARKHANGELSK, March 12. / TASS /. The incidence of ARVI and influenza in the week of March 5-11 in Arkhangelsk exceeded the epidemic threshold by 24%. This is reported on Monday by the site of Rospotrebnadzor in the Arkhangelsk region.
“In the city of Arkhangelsk, which is the base for influenza, during the period from 05. 03. 2018 to 11 03. 2018, 4499 cases of acute respiratory viral infection and 21 cases of influenza were registered, including 2732 cases of acute respiratory infections and 8 cases of influenza in children. The incidence of acute respiratory viral infection and influenza of the whole population is 24% higher than the epidemic threshold, 74 people were hospitalized with acute respiratory viral infection and influenza, including 54 children, up to 14 years of age, “the report said.
According to the department, last week only 11782 cases of acute respiratory viral infection were registered in the Arkhangelsk region (7320 of them among children) and 31 cases of influenza (10 cases in children). The incidence of ARVI and influenza in the region above the epidemic threshold is 16.4%.
Last week, due to the increased incidence of ARVI, 2 schools in Kholmogorsky and Onega districts, 4 kindergartens in Kholmogorsky and Onega districts were completely closed, and 3 classes in 3 schools and 8 groups in 4 kindergartens were partially closed.
