A 29-year-old music producer who has worked with Post Malone and Cardi B has told his harrowing story of how he tested positive for corona virus.
American hit maker Andrew Watt, simply known as “Watt”, went to Instagram this week with his scary experience and said he felt he was “hit” by a bus before he was diagnosed with the flu, which later developed into pneumonia.
He said he was hospitalized for medical treatment after chills and fever, but was refused a test for COVID-19.

Despite coughing and breathing difficulties, his condition was initially not treated as a potential coronavirus case due to federal regulations that deny access to people who have not traveled overseas.
Watt, who described himself as a “fit, healthy young man”, was finally tested by a private doctor, which led to a positive reading of the virus.
He told his 311,000 followers that he is now using an oxygen machine to “relieve his lungs as much as possible”.
“Yesterday I got the results that I find positive for COVID-19. I wanted to tell you all about my trip here to raise awareness of the severity of what is going on in the world,” he wrote.
Watt was told he had the flu and said he could not have COVID-19 because he hadn’t left the country.
He made it clear that he only visits his studio before going straight home every day.
Watt says he was prescribed over-the-counter cold and flu medication to fight the fever, but “the chills, sweats, and fever” didn’t go away.
“I started to make a mistake and then the dry cough started,” he added.
Watt said he was taken to the hospital where he “asked” for a COVID-19 test but was refused.
“I asked and asked for an evaluation and finally got a chest X-ray,” he said.
“The results were viral pneumonia … but still … not a test.”
A private doctor tested it on Monday and the results were certainly positive.
“I lie in bed and chug Gatorade and use an oxygen machine to relieve my lungs as much as possible,” he wrote before severely warning someone who was not practicing social distancing.
“I am 29 years old. I am a healthy young man and I will get through it no matter what. I will fully recover,” he wrote.
“But … there are so many people in my life and in the world who may not be able to get through due to their age and / or a weakened immune system … that’s why I’m writing this post. I can’t stress this enough … It’s not a joke. Stay inside, stay clean. “
Watt begged the followers to take care of themselves and the people around them
“Having the mentality” I’m young, that can’t affect me “is just stupid and so dangerous for everyone around you,” he said.
“Social distance is supposed to protect someone’s mother and father, someone’s grandmother … it’s not about you. It is about everyone fighting together as a team. “
Watt’s contribution triggered the support of musicians like Katy Perry, who commented, “You have this Andrew! I love you and will pray for you, ”said Perry.
Blink-182 left an emoji with a black heart on the post, while Cardi B wished her all the best: “I hope you are better. Yes! You are so alive and full of life that I know you can do it! (sic) ”
Model Gigi Hadid also offered her support: “Send yourself strength and dear Andy, hope you will feel better soon, brother (sic).”
