The new song references by Ariana Grande exes Davidson, Miller

NEW YORK – Ariana Grande has released a song that references her exes – including former fiancee and "SNL" star Pete Davidson and the late Mac Miller.

The midtempo song "Thank U, Next" refers to past divisions and expresses his gratitude for what she has learned from relationships. She speaks of a Sean – she dated with the rapper Big Sean – and a Pete and Malcolm, the real name of Miller. She says she wishes she could thank Malcolm and call him an angel. The rapper died in September of an overdose of drugs.

In the song she sings about her new love – "Ari" – and says, "She taught me love, she taught me patience."

An emotional Davidson referred in the meantime to the separation of "SNL" and described her as a "wonderful, strong person".
