World-renowned actor Tom Cruise celebrates his 60th birthday on July 3rd. Appropriately, the ORF is showing the science fiction thriller “Minority Report” on this day.
Steven Spielberg’s film transports viewers to the year 2054. Tom Cruise plays John Anderton, the head of a special unit called “Pre-Crime”, which is responsible for preventing crimes that have not yet been committed. With the help of the clairvoyant abilities of the three “Precogs” murders are to be prevented before they are committed. Suddenly, however, Anderton himself is identified as a potential killer. Hunted by his own system, he begins an almost hopeless escape.

Peter Parker actor Tom Holland embarks on a study trip through Europe with his school class. While in Venice, the city is attacked by a water monster. It soon turns out that the world is threatened by several dangerous creatures from a parallel universe. Together with “Mysterio” (Jake Gyllenhaal) he goes into a hard fight against a fire monster that threatens to destroy the earth.

In the new film by Spanish director Fernando León de Aranoa, Oscar winner Javier Bardem plays the charismatic CEO Julio Blanco. He runs a successful family business manufacturing industrial scales in rural Spain. Blanco likes to present himself as the perfect boss. When the opportunity arises for an award for excellent corporate management, he does everything in his power to win the prestigious award.
Of course, everything turns out differently than planned. So Blanco has to deal with several things at the same time: a recently fired employee, a frustrated production manager and an intern in love. In a grotesque race against time, he desperately tries to solve these problems – and in doing so, crosses all sorts of moral boundaries.
