The health pass was extended on August 9, 2021 to cafes, restaurants and even TGV. @WilliamPham
The health pass becomes a vaccination pass. After two weeks of sometimes stormy debates, Parliament definitively adopted the bill “strengthening the tools for managing the health crisis”, in short, the introduction of the vaccination pass from the age of 16. Decryption.
The “vaccination pass” for those over 16 was definitively adopted in the National Assembly on Sunday evening, January 16, by a large vote of the deputies (215 votes for, 58 against and 7 abstentions), after two weeks of debate. .
When will it be implemented?
In a few days. The government hopes for implementation around January 20, at the end of the week.
What does it change ?
A negative test will no longer be possible, for those over 16, to access leisure activities, restaurants, seminars, fairs, trade shows.
You will also need proof of vaccination status to access interregional public transport (planes, trains, coaches). For transport, an exception is provided for travel for “compelling family or health reasons”.
The employees of the sectors concerned must also all have a vaccination pass (employees of restaurants, bars, etc.)
For 12-15 year olds?
The health pass remains in effect for them. No compulsory vaccination pass for access to leisure activities, restaurants and bars, fairs or interregional public transport.
While the 1st round of the presidential election takes place in less than 3 months (April 10), the vaccination pass will not be compulsory to access a meeting. However, the organizers have the option of requiring a health pass. But only the possibility, not the obligation.
For the moment, no change. The tonnage is 2000 people maximum in indoor rooms, 5000 people in outdoor stadiums. Regardless of the total capacities of the halls or stadiums. No percentage, yet.
The restaurateurs or café owners will be able to check the vaccination pass of each individual, as for the health pass. “When there are serious reasons to believe that the document presented is not related to the person presenting it“, it may be requested “an official document with his photograph“.
A person who presents a false pass or a person who transmits his pass to others for fraudulent use risks a fine of 1,000 euros (compared to 135 currently).
Finally, in order to fight against “pass” trafficking, the possession of several false passes can lead to up to 5 years in prison and a fine of 75,000 euros.
