These are 4 Campuses in Indonesia that are in the Top 100 of the 2023 QS Asia University Rankings

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta – Quacquarelli Symonds, a company specializing in the analysis of higher education institutions around the world, recently announced the ranking of universities in Asia. A total of 760 campus in Asia are included in the QS Asia University Rankings 2023 (QS AUR 2023).

Quoted from the Top Universities page, here are a few College in Indonesia which are included in the top 100 best campuses according to the 2023 QS AUR version:

1. University of Indonesia (UI)

The university, which is ranked 49th, is the oldest state university in Indonesia with more than 160 years of experience in the field of education.

Since its establishment in 1950, in recent years, UI has embarked on significant reforms to fight for superior education with a global perspective, by attracting more than 30,000 Indonesian and international students, which is in line with its mission to become a world-class research university. According to QS AUR 2023, UI has an overall score of 62.2 from each university.

2. Gadjah Mada University (UGM)

Gadjah Mada University is a university that is ranked 56th in the 2023 QS AUR ranking with a score of 57.4. The 360-hectare university consists of 18 faculties, 68 undergraduate study programs, 23 diploma study programs, 104 master’s and specialist study programs, and 43 doctoral study programs with around 55,000 students, 1,187 foreign students, and 2,500 current faculty members.

UGM implemented an educopolis area, a step taken in creating a conducive environment for the continuity of the learning process.

3. Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB)

In the 2023 QS AUR ranking, ITB is ranked 63rd with a score of 54.8 from each university. ITB was founded in 1959 by the Indonesian government as a higher education institution in science, technology and fine arts with a mission of education, research and community service.

Government Decree No. 155/2000 regarding the Establishment of ITB as a Legal Entity has opened a new way for ITB to become autonomous. This autonomous status implies freedom for ITB to manage its own business effectively and efficiently and is fully responsible for the planning and implementation of all programs and activities, as well as quality control for achieving its institutional goals.

4. Airlangga University

Airlangga University is one of the leading state universities in Surabaya, which is ranked 81st with a score of 47.5. Initially, Universitas Airlangga only had a postgraduate study program with three study programs, namely Basic Medicine, Dentistry, and Law in 1976.
