The Mossos d’Esquadra are investigating a new case of stabbing a 14-year-old girl during the major festival in Castelló d’Empúries (Alt Empordà). As reported by Diari de Girona and confirmed by the ACN, the events happened in the morning from Friday to Saturday when the girl noticed a puncture and gave the warning. Following the incident, she was taken to the hospital in Figueres, where she was discharged shortly afterwards and is awaiting the results of the analysis.
Castelló City Council and the Festivals Committee have issued a joint statement in which they condemn “any form of sexist aggression”. “You can’t give in to this type of attitude”, they point out.
