The ax soon fell on the neck of Microsoft Authenticator for the Apple Watch. The publisher had announced the end of the watchOS companion of its iOS application in mid-December. Well, that’s it: the latest 6.7.3 update of the iOS app puts an end to the Apple Watch version.
Microsoft’s two-step authentication application allows you to securely sign in to your Microsoft account or other accounts. Users will have to rely on their iPhone or iPad now. Nevertheless, the company indicates that it is still possible to display a 2FA code on its Apple Watch simply by authorizing notifications. The watchOS app was launched in 2018.
