The highly anticipated teaser trailer for Avatar: The Way of Water was a hit for James Cameron and 20th Century Studios. The footage has been viewed more than 148 million times in the first 24 hours after the trailer was released online.
The audience that went to the cinema to Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness saw the trailer on the silver screen a little earlier.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the trailer for Avatar: The Way of Water totaled 148.6 million views in the first 24 hours, of which 23 million were in China.
That’s more like the trailer for Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, for example. The trailer for Spider-Man: No Way Home reached a record last year, with 355.5 million views in the first 24 hours. The top five also consists of: Avengers: Endgame – trailer 1 (289 million), Avengers: Endgame – trailer 2 (268 million), The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power (series) – teaser trailer (257 million) and Avengers: Infinity War – trailer 1 (230 million).
