  1. 5 pm 52. KV Kortrijk strengthens defense with Jimmy Tabidze. After Vandenberghe, Challouk and De Neve, KV Kortrijk has made its fourth summer transfer. In defence, it can now fit 26-year-old Jimmy Tabidze. The Georgian left-footer has already played 14 caps for his national team. He comes over on a free transfer from FC Ufa of the Russian first division and signs a contract for 2 seasons.  †

  3. 4 pm. Olivier Dumont exchanges Standard for STVV. STVV has strengthened itself for the coming season with 20-year-old Belgian midfielder Olivier Dumont. Dumont played with the youth of Standard since 2011 and this season played with the U21.  Former Standard coach Mbaye Leye awarded him his debut with the A-team on the very first match day of last season, against KRC Genk. On the fourth day of play, he was allowed to participate for seven minutes in the away match against Beerschot. Dumont got no further than two games in the highest division for the time being. STVV managed to maintain itself easily in the Jupiler Pro League last season. After a strong second half of the season, it finished in ninth place, which was just not enough to qualify for the Europe play-offs. †
  4. 10 am 52. Beerschot brings Thibaud Verlinden back to Belgium. Flank attacker Thibaud Verlinden comes to reinforce Beerschot’s front line in 1B. The 22-year-old son of ex-goalkeeper Dany Verlinden comes transfer-free from the Slovakian first division team DAC. “Thibaud consciously chooses Beerschot,” says technical manager Sander Van Praet. “We feel a lot of eagerness with him to show himself in Belgium.” “With his kicking technique, good acceleration and actions between the lines, he brings something extra to our core.” †

  6. 9 p.m. 04. Antwerp finds winger in Ecuador. Antwerp has been able to seduce 18-year-old Anthony Valencia (not to be confused with ex-Manchester United player Antonio Valencia) with a 4-year contract. Valencia was one of the stars of the last edition of the Copa Libertadores U20 with 2 goals and 2 assists in 5 matches. The wing attacker is Antwerp’s first summer bargain. †
  7. 12h37. Eupen goes on Anglo-Saxon tour. There will be some more English spoken in Eupen next season. The German-speaking club announced the arrival of Anglo-Welsh midfielder Isaac Christie-Davies and Anglo-Grenadan left-back Regan Charles-Cook. The 24-year-old Christie-Davies makes the switch from the English second division Barnsley and signed for 2 years. The 25-year-old Charles-Cook comes over for 3 years from the Scottish first division Ross County. Christie-Davies went through the youth academy of Chelsea and Liverpool and also played 1 game in the main squad for the Reds. However, there was no breakthrough and Liverpool leased him to Cercle Brugge in the spring of 2020. He was also unable to manifest himself there due to a serious injury. After a passage at Barnsley and a loan to the Slovakian DAC, he is now taking his chance at Eupen. Eupen coach Bernd Storck still worked with Christie-Davies at Cercle Brugge and DAC. Charles-Cook is a youth product of Arsenal and Charlton. In the summer of 2020 he settled at Ross County and there he made himself noticed last season with no less than 10 goals in 32 league games. Charles-Cook opted for the Grenada national team and has since won four caps. †

  9. 18 hours 37. Cercle Brugge overtakes attacker Emilio Kehrer (20). Cercle Brugge went shopping at Freiburg in Germany. The two clubs reached an agreement on the transfer of 20-year-old Emilio Kehrer. The striker signs a contract until June 2025 with an option for an additional season. Kehrer is a youth international for Germany and he played last season with the promises of Freiburg, in the German third division.  †
  10. 18 hours . Koné from Eupen to Deinze. Mamadou Koné (30) leaves first division KAS Eupen and moves free of charge to KMSK Deinze. The Ivorian striker signed a contract for two seasons with an option for an extra season.  The 30-year-old Koné has been playing football at KAS Eupen since 2020, after an earlier loan spell of six months in 2018. He played a total of 38 matches for the team from the East Cantons and managed to score six times. †

  12. 3:30 pm Andreas Beck leaves Eupen after three seasons. German defender Andreas Beck (35) closes the door at KAS Eupen after three seasons. The expiring contract of the former German international was not renewed.  “This farewell is not easy. The last three years at Eupen have been very special for me and I am very grateful for this beautiful period in my career. I want to thank the fans for hugging me so quickly and I will continue to support them. never forget,” the German said. †
  13. 2 p.m. 55. Christophe Lepoint signs with Seraing. Veteran Christophe Lepoint chooses a new adventure in 1A at the age of 37.  After a passage at Mouscron, which was declared bankrupt, Lepoint now signs a two-year contract with Seraing. In the past, the midfielder was active at KAA Gent, Zulte Waregem and Kortrijk, among others. †
  14. 2 pm 19. Holzhauser remains in 1A at OH Leuven. Raphael Holzhauser will play for Oud-Heverlee Leuven next season. The Austrian therefore leaves Beerschot, which is relegated to 1B. The transfer had been in the air for a while because Holzhauser was already spotted with OHL trainer Marc Brys (ex-Beerschot). Holzhauser, 29, will be looking for his best level again in Leuven. Last year he fell through the ice together with the rest of Beerschot, but the year before he was still one of the top candidates for the Golden Shoe. †
