The Lincolnshire police confirmed this morning (Saturday, October 13) that two men died following a collision at the Belfast A153 intersection last night (Friday, October 12).
A spokesman for Lincolnshire police said, "We can now confirm that a 35-year-old man and a 49-year-old man, both from the Humberside area, died in the collision last night at the A153 intersection in Belchford.
"A third man, aged 25, was flown to Hull Royal Infirmary and is detained in intensive care, and is believed to be from the Humberside area."
An emergency service was called at 9:45 pm after a white Citroën van and a white Mercedes Sprinter station wagon collided.
The police closed the A153 last night (Friday) while the officers were investigating the circumstances of the collision.
The A153 in Belchford reopened this morning (Saturday) around 5am.
A spokesman for the Lincolnshire Police added, "We would like to appeal to witnesses who were in the Belchford area and the A153 around 9:45 pm and saw the collision itself or saw one of the white vans call 101."
