According to the website of the Hungarian Football Association (MLSZ), Dániel Németh hit the post in the first half, and in the second – in which the Hungarian national team took control – Vital Milan he scored the winning goal from an 18-meter free kick awarded for the foul committed against him.
“I am satisfied with the result and the game we played, we played football with discipline and confidence, the players kept to what was agreed before the game. We had four or five great opportunities, while we closed well at the back, our opponent was unable to get into bigger situations. Of course, I saw mistakes, we have to correct them in the period ahead, but we continue to move forward step by step. We defeated a strong Greek national team, I am sure that the players will benefit from another sense of success” – quoted by mlsz.hu Zoltán Gera evaluation of a federal coach.
The national team of the age group played its fifth match this season, having won three of the previous four (Lithuania, Bulgaria, Azerbaijan), but lost the warm-up match against the Danes.
The national team will fly to Cyprus on Saturday, where they will play against the home team on Tuesday afternoon, at 16:00 Hungarian time.
