Ski star Mikaela Shiffrin and Polish tennis number 1 Iga Swiatek appear in the main women’s category.
Golf ace Tiger Woods and Danish kicker Christian Eriksen were nominated for the comeback category.
The young Spanish tennis star Carlos Alcaraz could be named the newcomer of the year. The winners will be announced in the spring.
