Franz Fuchs ended his board position at the Vienna Insurance Group at the end of June 2020. He worked for the VIG Group in board functions for around 17 years, and has been a VIG board member since October 2009. “It is thanks to the excellent development work, the high level of insurance expertise and the strong ties that Franz Fuchs has with the countries to be managed that the VIG Group has developed excellently in its regions. The VIG Group is one of the top 4 insurance companies in all of its responsible markets. This remarkable development would not have been possible without his great commitment. On behalf of the entire Supervisory Board, I would like to thank him for the many years of successful cooperation, ”says Günter Geyer, Chairman of the Vienna Insurance Group (Wiener Versicherung Gruppe). Franz Fuchs will remain closely connected to the VIG Group and will continue to provide advice and will continue to hold supervisory board mandates in VIG insurance companies.
