Vikings hold on to beat Saints 28-25 in London

LONDON (AP) — Greg Joseph kicked a 47-yard field goal with 24 seconds left and the Minnesota Vikings beat New Orleans 28-25 at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Sunday when Wil Lutz’s 61-yard attempt for the Minnesota Saints hit the left post and then the crossbar as time expired.

Vikings wide receiver Justin Jefferson surpassed Marshon Lattimore’s mark by catching a 39-yard pass before a field goal from Joseph, who had missed an extra point earlier in the fourth.

The missed kick left the Vikings with a 25-22 lead.

The Saints advanced on an eight-play drive and Lutz kicked a tying 60-yard field goal with 1:51 left for the Saints (1-3), who suffered their third straight loss. Lutz’s next attempt fell short by a hair.

Jefferson finished with 10 receptions for 147 yards and rushed for a touchdown down the stretch for the Vikings (3-1).
