Zidane said no to €60m!

While his name has been mentioned in recent days on the side of Juventus Turin, Zinedine Zidane has sat on a nice nest egg by refusing the advances of PSG.

Free since the end of his adventure in Real Madrid, Zinedine Zidane never ceases to arouse envy. After Manchester United last winter the PSG in spring, Chelsea this summer, it is thus the turn of the Juventus Turin of wanting to make the 1998 Ballon d’Or his new coach. A wishful thinking as the former playmaker is determined to succeed Didier Deschamps on the bench of the France team. PSG can attest to that.

The club of the capital has indeed done everything to convince the Marseillais to take the reins of the champions of France, presenting him with a project built around Kylian Mbappe and with a squad built to win the Champions League. Joining PSG would also have been the assurance of a great financial operation. According to Republicthe Parisian leaders have indeed offered him a three-year contract with the promise of some 20 million per season.

Such emoluments would have placed him on the podium of the highest paid coaches on the planet, ahead of Pep Guardiola but still a good distance from Diego Simeone, the reference in the matter with his 30 million euros collected at Atletico Madrid. On the other hand, he would have received much more than what Mauricio Pochettino received last season (13 M€) but also more than what he received during his last season at Real Madrid (14 M€).
