A foreigner is narrowly lynched in Santa Marta, after the scams that he carried out in hotels, yachts and even sex workers in the El Rodadero spa sector.

The man, identified as Bernio Enzo Varhagen, 27, is an Afro-born person from Paramaribo (Suriname) and has Dutch nationality.
The authorities reported that this man he was posing as a professional footballer of European clubs and contracted tourist services that agreed to pay for transfers that he never made.
With this methodology, he deceived the managers of hotels where he stayed, yacht owners and sex workers in the capital of Magdalena and other parts of the world.

Bernio Enzo wanted to spend a luxurious vacation in Santa Marta and he almost succeeded; but he was discovered just as he was trying to leave town.
The commander of the Police, Colonel Óscar Solarte, indicated that the foreigner was denounced by some sex workers with which he spent the last night before leaving the capital of Magdalena.

Witnesses helped him and called a patrol to save him from several people who tried to charge him by force for the service he hired and did not pay.

The Police, when verifying his judicial situation, learned that Bernio Enzo Varhagen was a skilled swindler that he had even been a prisoner in Denmark.
“According to the verified information, this subject apparently used the consignment method via money order companies, which later retracted them, and the money was never paid,” Solarte said.
The commander of the Metropolitan Police invited those who were victims of Bernio to file the respective complaint. Likewise, he indicated that they are waiting for Interpol to establish how to proceed with the individual, who for the moment remains deprived of liberty.
